From a very young age, I remember myself entertaining for friends and family and crafting and creating gifts, decorations or even small furniture for myself and my friends, using every material I could collect or save from scrap. And those where the late eighties and early nineties when this reclaiming frenzy, that is so catchy nowadays, was considered a bit odd or weird!
In spite of this and my ever restless nature, my academic years were not as creative, as I attended and graduated law school! After graduating from the University I was called to the Cyprus Bar and practised law for eight years before deciding to return to my creative passion, that I never really gave up. As a result of that I began undertaking some small-scale projects beginning from my willing friends and family. The circle of “friends and family” gradually became bigger and bigger and began expanding so I decided it was about time to choose my path and as a result of this I founded Fresh, which opened its doors on Valentine’s Day 2008.
After opening Fresh, and aiming to offer only the best to all clients of Fresh, I attended various courses in the design field, taking a course in graphic design and attending other professional courses, with world renowned floral designers such as Paula Pryke and Karen Tran. I also attended a course on Event Design at the Central Saint Martin’s School of Art in London. And my intention is to attend many more in the future as I’m a firm believer of continuing education.
With the exception of the above short courses, I consider myself to be self-taught and my inspiration derives from everyday things as well as my travels since I’m a travel enthusiast and I pack my bags at the first opportunity of one more adventure.
I’m also a very curious by nature and observant person and have stored in my head every single image I ever came across. This helps me retrieve instant inspiration when I need to and also understand a client’s vision so clearly that I can literally walk through their whole event and see in front of me every single detail even when meeting with them for the very first time. And this I believe is one of my talents that helped me through the years to deliver the quality of service that made fresh so popular in its field.
